Narrative Text is a text which tells something imaginative or something that only a bouquet of the maker and his only goal is to entertain the reader.
1. Type-the type of Narrative Text
There are several types of narrative text , as follows :
a. fables (Stories about animals are portrayed acting like humans)
b. fairy stories (Stories that are fantastic, full of wonders)
c. myth
d. romance
e. legends
f. personal experience (personal experience.)
2. Generic Structure Narrative Text
a. Orientation
Namely the introduction of a form : a story about the what (what is the story about), whoever the perpetrator in the story (who is the participant), where the story was going (where is the place setting) and when that story happened (when is the time setting).
b. Complication
That is the problem\/conflict in the story. This section is the core of the story narrative. Such conflicts can be distinguished :
- Physical Conflict
Namely the problems that arise because of the physical contact and everything related to physical.
- Natural Conflict
Namely the problems that arise because the perpetrator of the story dealing with the forces of nature.
- Social Conflict
Namely, a problem that arises because the actors that face each other. They met at the same time with different interests.
- Psychological Conflict
Namely the Problems that arise when the perpetrator of the story it's dealing with himself. The conflict between the good and the bad, between the greedy nature and tolerance.
c. Resolution
That is the solution or resolution of a problem or conflict that arises in the story. In the Narrative text, any problems that arise there should be the solution, can be closed with the end of fun (happy ending) or not bit of end up tragic, sad (sad ending).
d. Re-Orientation
This is the statement of the cover story and it's just optional. It consists of moral lesson, advice or teaching from the writer
.
3. Language Features
a. Using the sentence patterns the Simple Past Tense
b. Usually begins with adverbs of time (Adverbs of Time) . Such as : long time ago..., once, one, once upon a time.
c. Using the word liaison time
